Prior to the 2013 National Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, SkillsUSA Oregon is thrilled to recognize four outstanding members for winning national scholarships!
The first set of congratulations go to State Officer Ceana Radilla from Sabin-Schellenberg Center for being awarded a $1,300 Student Development Scholarship to attend Leverage Training at NLSC.
The second set of kudos goes to Sabin-Schllenberg Center students Madison Boger, CSI; Lacy Paul, CSI; and Jayson Rodden, Career Pathways Showcase-Manufacturing. Each of these students were awarded $1,000 travel scholarships from the mikeroweWORKS Foundation. The mikeroweWORKS Foundation benefits men and women who wish to pursue a career in the skilled trades and subsidizes apprenticeships and other forms of skills training. It was created by Mike Rowe, star of Discovery Channel's "Dirty Jobs". Madison, Lacy and Jayson will attend a special luncheon with Mike Rowe at NLSC.
Congratulations to these SkillsUSA Oregon Champions at Work!
